We are oh
so excited to announce our first ever knit and crochet along in aid of global
charity Knit For Peace, called the KnitPro Designer-along.
We have
been working with a number of high profile designers and magazine editors who
have created 12 gorgeous blanket squares.
They include Debbie Bliss, Arne and Carlos, Erika Knight, Jane Crowfoot,
Lena Fedotova, Debbie Abrahams, Simply Knitting, Simply Crochet, Crochet Now,
Inside Crochet and Let’s Knit.
Knit For
Peace is an amazing organisation that works with groups of women in countries
all over the world including India, where our factory is based. We wanted to
create a flexible knit and crochet along to appeal to as many people as
possible and we are delighted that so many well-known names have shared our
vision for helping this charity.
Each week
for six weeks one crochet and one knit design will be released. The patterns will be downloadable from the Knit For Peace website in return for a donation of £1 – all of which will go to the
charity. Each launch will feature a
giveaway of products from our new collection.
We would
love to see how you are getting on with the squares so please post your
versions to our Facebook page or to Instagram using #KnitProPicknMix or
#KnitProDesignerAlong so we can ooh and aah over them
At the end
of the six weeks we will also be releasing all the designs in an e-book with
ideas for blanket layouts using the squares and instructions for different
borders.
The KnitPro
Designer-along will launch on 26th September 2016 and run until the end of
October. If you want to make sure you don’t miss out on a single launch, join
our newsletter list here.
