There's been a lot of buzz about our Karbonz needles; most recently, Clara Parkes shared her thoughts on these high-tech needles on the Knitter's Review website (note: Karbonz are distributed in North America under the Knitter's Pride brand). We're quite flattered with her analysis! If you've been curious about carbon fiber needles, click here to get the scoop from one of our industry's finest experts! You can also read more about our Karbonz needles on the Meadow Yarns blog!
Now for the best part: we'd like to give you a chance to try Karbonz out for yourself! Leave a comment on this post sharing why you'd like to knit with these needles for your chance to win one of three prizes: a pair of Karbonz Single-Point Needles, Double-Point Needles or Fixed Circulars. We'll randomly select three lucky readers as our winners on Friday, March 22. Be sure to leave your Ravelry ID or e-mail address so that we can contact you if you win!
I have already bought a couple of pairs of DPN's - and I love them! So light and easy to hold. Now I really want to try the circulars..... please....!!
ReplyDeleteI was keeping circulars in my hands at the craft store. Amazing, so light and smoth. It was really good to keep them in hands. But there were no 2,5 mm at the store :( So I'll try my luck here. Maybe this time I could win my dream needles.
ReplyDeleteThese look dreamy! Who doesn't love to try out new circulars! I've not seen them in any LYS yet. . .
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try these needles! They look like they are the perfect blend of smooth and light.
ReplyDeleteI was already looking for these wonderful karbonz needles here in Germany but I couldn't find them in any shops near me, yet. I heard so many great things on revelry about these needles, that they're so light and smoothly and that it's just such a joy to knit with them. I love all your needles and to win a pair of these would be just like a dream come true to me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win this here. Oh, my ravelry name is Nate71 and my e-mail is renate@mcmartin.de

Hi :) I live in Turkey, since I have bought my first set of interchangable needle set I have never used any other brand for knitting :) I have harmony, nickel and plastic set :) Would love to try my hand on one of them...But I would rather wish for a knitter to win without any set of these great knitting needles :)))
ReplyDeleteIt always great fo try and find new tools for our obsession. I have Knit Pro Tunisian Crochet Hooks set, which I very much like. So it would be nice to try something new from Knit Pro!
ReplyDeleteI've a strong preference for steel and aluminum (for speed), but wood is easiest on my arthritic hands. I can't help but wonder if these would feel similar to wood, but with the sickness of metal.
ReplyDeleteRevelry- brainbleached
I would love to win these beautiful needles because they allow me to appreciate even more my moments of relaxation knitting. I discovered the joy of knitting and I dream to try your needles!
ReplyDeleteBest regards from Brussels,

Knit-Pro interchangeables have revolutionised my knitting, and are far better than my previous needles (from a certain company in Germany). If I win these needles, I will happily give away those other needles. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI love a new knitting needle for a new knitting project! They look like they'd be perfect for the lace jumper I'm working on.

I would use those dpn-s for knitting some norwegian mittens. These are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteanxykaz @ ravelry :)
I would love some of these for knitting lace!
ReplyDeleteCirculars are my favorite, I'm not good at DPNs . I see a lot of shawls in my future.
ReplyDeletepatmom on ravelry
I would love to win them! It would be an absolutely new feeling since its a completely different material the needles are made of (I normally use wooden ones). Plus the shops around here in Germany do not stock them yet. If they are as good as I I heard from other ravelry users I would knit most of my projects with them :)
ReplyDeleteFlongstocking @ravelry
I'd love to win some DPNs, I have one pair of fixed circulars and they are great, light and comfortable, the ends are not too sharp, excellent.
ReplyDeleteMy Rav ID is scriptoria

ReplyDeleteI got given the Acrylic Knit Pro set a couple of Christmas's ago by my husband. I have had to replace the 3.5mm tips as one of mine snapped. It would be really lovely for my knitting career (i'm 33 yrs) lol, and it would be so epic to receive the new Karbonz needle sets. I reckon they would superbly improve knitting and its pleasure.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to own some karbonz needles because I think they're really cutting edge, and BLACK.
ReplyDeleteI've watched the karbonz videos and they made me long for them even more.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to get my Mum the single point or the DPNs - she much prefers using metal needles, but the cold metal is painful for her hands. I think the karbonz would help her a lot!

ReplyDeletehave a set of knit pro wood, now I need to try the karbonz... ID raverly Tiz70 . Bye
ReplyDeleteI've recently gotten back into knitting after many years of exclusively stitching and I'm surprised at all the new tools and yarns that are now available. A lot of these things are very hard to get a hold of here in NZ and I'm sure it will be quite sometime before these new Karbonz needles are here, if ever. Ravelry ID is TimRachel

ReplyDeleteAs a new knitter and already SUPER addicted lol, my budget only allows for thrift store needles, Aeros or whatever Walmart carries. Moving up to a prestige pair like Karbonz would change my knitting world drastically. Oh I can already picture the amazing pieces coming off of those Karbonz!!!

I love trying new products, having recently learnt how to knit using your Nova circular interchangeables, I'm eager to discover what's next.
ReplyDeleteI need this new neddles, is it a good reason? :)
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for the perfect needles and haven't tried these.
ReplyDeleteI love to knit my first shawl with these needles.... ;)
ReplyDeleteRaverly- craftinmadrid
Good quality needles really make knitting much more pleasurable. If I'm fighting the kink in a too stiff circular cord, struggling with blunt needles, needles that catch the yarn, that have a noticeable join or circulars that are too short in the hand - if I'm fighting those kinds of problems, I'm not loving what I'm making. And, if I'm going to spend money on great yarn and invest dozens or hundreds of hours into a project, I want to enjoy knitting it! Otherwise, what's the point? So I'd love to give these needles a go. They'd just make me happy!
ReplyDeleteI was sure I already commented on here, but can't find it! So, I would love to try these out! I read great reviews and am always looking for a good quality needle to get my hands on ;) My Rav name is mrscoupar

ReplyDeleteI really want to re-teach myself to knit. I crochet like a boss, but I learned to knit backwards (in the back loops) originally and it leads to difficulties when trying to follow a pattern. I think some fancy new needles would help that along, right?

ReplyDeleteI would love to try these needles. I have a bunch of cheap bamboo circulars that are constantly breaking on me and it makes it hard to finish projects. I would love some higher quality needles!
